Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) Consultation

Some white cut out hanging speech and thought bubbles

The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 came into effect in 2014.

One of the powers within this Act is Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs).These prevent individuals or groups committing anti-social behaviour in a public space.

PSPOs can include multiple restrictions and requirements, and can prohibit a number of activities.

The power to make, replace or update existing public space restrictions falls to Canterbury City Council, in consultation with Police and other relevant organisations.

The existing orders will expire in October 2017. Canterbury City Council would like your views to help shape what our PSPOs should include.

Please complete the five minute survey by 5pm on Friday 17 June to have your say.
