Baptist Church, St George's Place

Repurpose and re-use broken items, appliances and more by repairing and fixing them (where possible) next Saturday 09 July, 10am-12.30pm at the Baptist Church, St George’s Place (opposite Waitrose). The Repair Café is a free community service, run entirely by skilled volunteers, who fix up a multitude of items including clothing, electricals, pottery, computers and bikes. Find out more HERE

In 2022, we are celebrating our return following a 2 year break in style. Come and join us on Sunday 24th July at Canterbury Rugby Club. As an entrant to The Canterbury Bike Ride, you benefit from: Fully waymarked routes with a back up route map and GPS files; Feed stations on the long and medium routes ; On-course first aid and mechanical support We welcome all charities to enter teams and you can see below the large number of charities who have participated in the past. Our partner charities for 2022 are The Kent MS Therapy Centre and Canterbury Wheelchair Rugby Cyclists of all ages and abilities are welcome to join plus charities are welcome to enter teams.

Business partners, staff and students are invited to join the Enterprise and Engagement team on the third of four themed walks throughout our Jubilee year. Take this opportunity to network and to find out more about the University, its collaborations and facilities. A great opportunity to network and make new contacts. The theme for this month is hops. It’s Autumn time when we welcome new students to the University and our annual harvest begins. On the day, help us gather the hops at the Christ Church hop garden, followed by a free self-guided tour of St. Augustine’s Abbey before walking to the Foundry, in Canterbury town centre, for a free beer where you will hear about how these fine plants are helped to reach their ultimate potential! Hop picking starts from 9.30am, followed by the visit to St. Augustine’s Abbey at 11.00am and the Foundry at 12.30pm. Places limited.
