In 2015 Canterbury Connected BID organised Canterbury’s first best dressed shop window competition for Christmas.
The competition was promoted via social media and in the press and was a great opportunity to remind Christmas shoppers that Canterbury is THE place to be at Christmas. There were over 50 entries in two categories:
- Small Independents:
Judges Awards – Gold, Silver, Merit, Commendation
The People’s Choice Award - Medium/Large/Chain
Judges Awards – Gold, Silver, Merit, Commendation
Judging took place in two ways starting on Saturday 5th December:
- Panel of judges on Saturday 5th December from 3-5pm
- “People’s Choice” via social media for small, independents from Saturday 5th to Saturday 12th December. All small, independent businesses will be offered a window poster inviting the public to vote by taking a photo of your window and posting it to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #CanterburyChristmas.
