Christmas Light-up Parade and Christmas Light Switch-on

The date for the 2022 Christmas Light Parade has been set for Saturday 12^th November, with a host of festive activities and celebrations planned for the city centre.

The event, sponsored by Miles & Bar and organised by Canterbury BID, will start at 6pm with live music from Robbie White in front of the Westgate Towers.

The parade will then get underway with led by beautiful lanterns, created in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University and carried by young local makers, from Westgate Towers to Whitefriars

Anyone wishing to watch and cheer on the parade is encouraged to bring along their own lanterns and fairy lights to help make the city sparkle for Christmas! And people can also visit the beautiful Christmas Market, open from 10am with some huts staying open until 7pm, in St Georges Street and Whitefriars to stock up on gifts and warming treats
