Christchurch University Diamond Jubilee Lantern Parade

2022 marks 60 years of Canterbury Christ Church University, and a special event on 1 February will launch a year-long programme of celebratory events and activities.
To mark the occasion, all students and staff are invited to ‘Light Up The Night’ by coming together to follow a light trail through Canterbury city centre called the Christchurch University Diamond Jubilee Lantern Parade. Starting at Augustine House, we’ll venture along the city walls, into The Precincts and past Canterbury Cathedral, finishing outside the Verena Holmes Building where there will be a warm welcome, music and mulled wine.
