Get involved with the Medieval Pageant 2018

Cafe St. Pierre exterior

Canterbury’s Medieval Pageant and Family Trail returns on Saturday 7th July. An anticipated audience of 5,000 will be enjoying the Medieval Pageant process through the city streets between 11am-12.30pm. The fun continues into the afternoon with a city wide family trail featuring medieval activities in a variety of heritage sites.

With this amount of footfall, why not get involved and promote your business with a bit of Medieval mayhem too!

Let us know your ideas and we will aim to promote your activities on the day.

Here are a few ideas:

Decorate

Decorate your window with a medieval theme – think jesters’ hats, bunting, banners.

Deals

Offer an 11.74% discount to commemorate the year that Henry II came to Canterbury to perform penance.

Performance

Are you planning any medieval-themed music, dance, performance or cinema? Let us know!

Food & Drink

With so many children in the city for the day, why not offer an ‘early bird’ medieval family feast and for the adults add a medieval dish to your menu for the day? Or hold a Medieval Banquet in the evening? Let us know and we will include you in our publicity

.

Promote

We can give you a Medieval Pageant poster saying “get your Medieval Family Trail Leaflet here!” Anyone wanting to participate in the Family Trail will need a leaflet and these will be available two weeks prior to the event on 7th July.

Whatever you do, let us know so we can promote your activities on around Canterbury! Contact us by 12 June: rachel.pilard@canterburybid.co.uk or ring the office on 01227 787 055.
