We hugely support a BID for Canterbury and see the benefits for us as a services business and for the vitality of the city as a whole.
A better connected, organised and marketed city will clearly boost business and benefit everyone. We understand there is a modest cost to us, like any business another bill is not hugely welcome, but having looked into the growing impact a BID would bring we believe we would see a quick return on that investment just through stronger business to business activity in the City it will generate.
As a marketing business we can also see how our clients would benefit, for instance through greater retail footfall, retail spend and new businesses, shops and attractions starting-up or locating here. We can also see longer term benefits as greater inward investment is drawn to the city. Like many local businesses we often talk about Canterbury being the business centre of East Kent, it’s time we acted like it.
