Canterbury’s BID is a democratically elected organisation, with a voluntary (elected) Board of Directors who represent the city’s businesses. It was voted for by the businesses of Canterbury on 18th July 2014 for a five year term, to ensure continued investment in the city centre. The BID’s mission is to help make Canterbury a vibrant, exciting, well connected and successful business community; and to make it a better place to work, live, visit, study and invest. Under Government legislation we are now approaching the end of our first five-year term, and therefore to continue beyond September 2019 we need to run a ballot in June and July next year.
