We are delighted to announce that Gemma Purt, Partner at Girlings Solicitors and Head of its Family Law Department, has been appointed as the new Chair of the Canterbury BID Board.
Alongside her professional expertise, Gemma has been a Canterbury resident for over 30 years and supports local charities providing pro bono advice to members of the public. She also supports law students at the University of Kent law clinic who shadow her when she provides advice to members of the public at the drop in clinic at the University, reflecting her strong commitment to community and education.
We look forward to working closely with Gemma to ensure we continue our commitment to delivering best value and high standards across all BID activities.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Paul Turner, Chief Operating Officer of the Marlowe Theatre, for his outstanding contribution as Interim Chair over the past sixteen months. Paul’s guidance and dedication have been invaluable during this transitional period, and we are very grateful for his continued support as a valued member of the BID Board and Chair of the Finance Committee.
