About Canterbury BID

Canterbury BID is an independent, business-led, not-for-profit initiative voted for by the businesses of Canterbury in July 2014, July 2019 and again in July 2024 for another five-year term. The BID is managed by paid staff and led by a voluntary Board of Directors, representing the businesses and organisations who operate in the city. There are also designated representatives from our city’s large institutions, including higher education, Kent Police, local authorities and observers from residents’ groups.

Our vision is to make Canterbury an award-winning, vibrant and desirable destination and a thriving place for business. Find out more about the Canterbury BID Business Plan (2024-2029) and have a look to see what Canterbury BID has delivered for businesses and the city over the past 10 years.
