It is essential that Canterbury remains a vibrant and creative destination, which is why Canterbury BID supports a strong calendar of events throughout the year that contribute to our key objectives, and, crucially, bring new audiences and substantial footfall into the city.
These are events that will:
- increase visitor numbers, dwell time and spend,
- assist in creating a superb destination for all visitors (residents and tourists), and
- bring in new audiences.
We invest in existing events and festivals and support the development of new ones, ensuring that they benefit BID levy payers directly in driving footfall and profitability. Average sponsorship allocation is between £500 – £1.5k, but can vary. The committee meets once per quarter (usually, September / December / March / June) to process requests.
